My name is Alex Gill, I am the owner, trainer, and professional rider of ZeZe Equine. I began ZeZe Equine to create a positive, supportive, and safe environment for all riders. I believe every goal is obtainable and want to help riders gain their confidence in the saddle whether the goal is to walk/trot or go to Junior Equitation Finals. For me, my love for horses began when I was in 3rd grade. My mom and dad allowed me to try soccer, softball, basketball, and ballet when I was young, however they knew these sports weren't for me. I would let the balls role by while I was picking flowers. Let's just say I never was a helpful teammate. A friend of mine began horseback riding lessons and my mom decided to give it a shot. Little did she know that the first time I sat on a lesson horse at 8 years old, I would be hooked for life. I quickly grew as a rider and a horse person. Throughout the years, I had the opportunity to ride many horses and ponies. I first began breaking and starting young horses as a teenager and have always enjoyed the process of allowing a horse to showcase their natural talents. I was able to attend several national championships, including pony finals and child/adult jumper finals. I was a working student throughout high school, which allowed me to ride many horses and learn how to become a horse person first hand. After high school, I rode on Delaware State University's Division 1 equestrian team. I started as a freshman in both over fences and on the flat. After DSU, I attended Emporia state University where I obtained a bachelors degree in psychology. I used my psychology degree and worked in child welfare while enjoying my horses on the side for a few years. After 18 years of training, riding, and, showing horses, I decided to take the step to create the business of my dreams. I continue to learn everyday and look forward to sharing my knowledge with others. I am excited to help build and inspire amazing riders and horses. I am confident that ZeZe Equine is the place for you. Come ride with me!
